Distro Version Note
At the moment the version of uGet currently in most package managers (ie: Ubuntu Software Center) is out of date, 1.8.2. For the most up to date version, install uGet via an option below. We are working on having this corrected but until then please use the options below.

How to install the PPAs:

Stable PPA:
(contains only stable versions of uGet)

1. Open up the "Terminal" application.
|
|
2. Run the following commands: |
|
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:plushuang-tw/uget-stable
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install uget aria2
|
|
3. Enter your root password to run the above commands. |
|
Development PPA:
(contains development and stable versions of uGet for the bleeding edge users)
|
|
1. Open up the "Terminal" application.
|
|
2. Run the following commands: |
|
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:plushuang-tw/uget-devel
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install uget aria2
|
|
3. Enter your root password to run the above commands. |
